Welcome to the new Southwest Events web page.  This site is intended to provide each and every Southwest Virtual pilot with information about up coming events related to Southwest Virtual.  The main use will ultimately be for announcing our group flights.  Although, it will also provide other important VATSIM event information.  By doing this, my goal is to bring this VA back to friendly atmosphere, allowing other pilots to meet one another and keep in touch.  It also helps to keep hubs from becoming "stagnant".

Involvement is the key to any VA's success.  By this, I mean pilots AND hub commanders.  We must not become complacent in just sitting on a roster with no activity.  Nor should hub commanders become complacent in just updating rosters and not getting out there and meeting their pilots.  None of this is too much to ask for.

So, without further ado, allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Eugene Bounchand.  Many of you know me from the SWVA message board and the group flights.  I currently fly for Southwest Virtual out of the Phoenix hub.  I am very active in Southwest Virtual group flights.  So, having accepted this job, nothing much will change from my standpoint.  I still believe in being active in your VA, for both pilot and hub commander.  What I hope to do is make this VA fun and enjoyable.  While we are here, why not have fun?  That is my goal.
